Crufts 2012 winner is announced

It’s the Ms (and Mr) Universe of the dog world, and it’s twice as enchanting to watch! All our teles were tuned in to Crufts this weekend for the ups, downs and all around aaaw! moments. And now that the winners of the greatest dog show in the world have been announced I’m planning on getting a Newfoundland (because it’s like owning a big, friendly bear) once I move out of my tiny flat.

And three cheers to Elizabeth the Lhasa Apso from Coventry who took the Best in Show award. You can read all about her and her amazing win in the Coventry Telegraph.

We staged our own mini Crufts in the office and wouldn’t you guess, the West Highland Terrier won, with the Corgi a near second!

Best in Show January 2012…

Notes: My knitted dog is inspired by ‘Ruby’, my Mum’s whippet, as a Mother’s day gift for her. However, it was very difficult to find a self patterning wool which would mimic Ruby’s light brindle shade, so knitted ruby is a bit of a darker brindle, but Mum loved her anyway!
